about

We probably do not need to explain to anyone that we are living in some tumultuous times. Acts of violence seem to be an almost daily occurrence. Hateful is rhetoric being expressed from all directions. People see more differences in their fellow human than similarities. Fear is as constant an emotion as love. The majority of people in the world just want one common thing; freedom.

Mr. P Chill’s latest single, Freedom, follows two individuals from two very different walks of life in their quest to find their personal freedom. The first is a young widowed mother from a Central American country who is trying to make her way on foot to the United State’s southern boarder in hopes of a better life for herself and her child. The second is a man who is tired of feeling like his freedoms are being taken away by overzealous and violent law enforcement, so he takes his message to the streets and the clashes with the very law enforcement he is protesting.

These two situations could be the story of any one of thousands of humans who walk one of these paths every day. Mr. P Chill’s hope is that through the lyrics of Freedom, that people who may not understand the struggles of one of the subjects in the song can come away with a better understanding and maybe, can be more empathetic to what others go through to find their freedom.
