For years I have been wanting to release a Christmas song, but honestly, good Christmas songs in my genre are rare and most come out sounding very cheesy. I would find myself working on this track in the months of November and December when I am home from touring and spending more time with my wife and family during the holidays, but never seem to finish it. Well, this year I finally got it finished! Originally, I was going to sample the great Bing Crosby's song, "I'll Be Home For Christmas", but every time I would start to flip the beat, it came out sounding terrible. When I was working on music about a month or so ago, I came up with the instrumental to this song and it sounded very much like the old Christmas records my mom used to play when I was a kid. I reached out to my good friend and singer Julie Rush and was very excited when she agreed to come to the studio and sing the chorus on my rendition of a timeless Christmas Classic.
